Here is a tribute to the White Star Liner the SS Magnetic who while sailing over the spot in June of 1914, where the Empress of Ireland had sunk on May 29th, 1914. The SS Magnetic had prepared a moment slow down the ship and let 772 passengers and crew which was led by the orchestra "Abide With Me" to sing was a passenger tender of the White Star Line built in 1891.

The SS Megnetic was constructed at the Harland and Wolff Shipyards in Belfast, Ireland. Magnetic was sold to a different company in 1932 and renamed Ryde, and scrapped in 1935
