HOW BIG IS 350 FEET SQUARE

After the Storstad and the Empress of Ireland collided it was estimated that the Storstad made a 350 foot hole in the starboard side (right side) of the Empress.

When the Empress of Ireland and the Storstad collided on the night of May 29th, 1914 it was estimated that the hole that was created in the starboard side (right side) of the Empress of Ireland was 350 feet and ripping open four decks. The Empress sank in 14 minutes.
